SENIOR TRIP TO KALAHARI RESORT
This year the senior trip will be to Kalahari Water Park in the Poconos. The trip will leave from WHSAD on Friday march 8th, 2019 at 8:00 am and will be returning back to WHSAD on Sunday March 10th, 2019 at approximately 2:00 pm. The total cost of the trip at this time is $515.00 per student. This price will be reduced as determined by fundraising. The more money students fund-raise, the lower the overall cost will be. When and if the price changes parents will be notified immediately. In order for us to hold a seat for your senior a deposit of $100.00 will have to be made. Afterschool Design Classes at Pratt — Apply Online This Week!
Design Initiative for Community Empowerment (DICE) is an after school program that introduces students to the challenges of creative thinking and problem-solving through studio classes in design. Students investigate their communities through various design disciplines such as fashion design, architecture and urban design, and entrepreneurship. While increasing civic education and social responsibility, students also learn about educational opportunities and career possibilities in design. National Decision Day
Attention Seniors, May 1st is National Decision Day which means the pressure is on for high school seniors to make final college decisions. WHSAD will be hosting a celebratory party during 3rd & 4th period for students who have committed to the college of their choice. Excelsior Scholarship application for the 2018-19 is now available. Students will need there TAP user name, password and Pin Number. Click here if you still have not applied for TAP. (NY State Tuition Assistance Program) The Excelsior Scholarship, in combination with other student financial aid programs, allows students to attend a SUNY or CUNY college tuition-free.
