DEAR PARENTS AND STUDENTS OF WHSAD:
Please, emphasize to your child that Chemistry is not just a collection of facts, it is an ongoing human activity. Chemists not only acquire knowledge, they play an important role in society based on that knowledge. For example, they teach students , conduct research, and develop new products. Learning about the principles of chemistry will enable your child to better understand the modern world. As you know Chemistry is also involved in many environmental issues such as Toxic waste, Acid Rain, and air and water pollution. I hope that through this course, my students will get inspired to gain the good foundation in Chemistry that will enable them to become good scientists, and good citizens.
