New After-School class in Construction Management (for NYC high school students) at Pratt Manhattan Campus.
Taught by Pratt Institute faculty from the Construction Management Program, the class is offered at no cost to motivated high schools students at the Pratt Manhattan campus, located at 144 West 14th Street, New York, NY.
Construction management represents a diversified industry employing over six million people with job opportunities in commercial, institutional, industrial, residential, and civil construction, as well as academic institutions. Through hands-on projects and tours, this class will provide an overview of these industries, exploring the interrelationship of the team: the owner/facility manager, construction manager, architect, engineer, contractor, subcontractor and supplier, and building operator; as well as introducing the technical and leadership skills necessary to meet the ever-changing needs of these dynamic professions.
