Greetings Parents,
I want to thank you for your support in electing me as the new PTA president. I look forward to getting to know you and your children this year. We have a long road ahead of us transforming our children of today into the leaders of tomorrow. We should be activists when it comes to our children's education, which includes enlightening ourselves in regards to their curriculum and learning environment. One of the necessary steps to achieve this goal is to attend PTA meetings where we have an open forum to discuss the direction of our children's future. There is a vast amount of information that is discussed at these meetings that an absent parent may miss out on such as: The ACE mentorship program, SAT prep programs; in school and at home strategy, and mentorship programs with different companies in many areas of architectural learning. All that are able need to be in attendance so that every WHSAD parent knows the resources available to students.

*Congratulations to WHSAD for achieving the goal of being the 5th best high school city wide. This wouldn't be possible without a lot of hard work from students and faculty. Please take a look at WHSAD's report card on the school's homepage.*

WHSAD is trying to make the webpage a parent friendly tool. We encourage you to leave comments on the blog and you may do this in English or Spanish as I am bilingual. I will try to respond to your questions or comments as quickly as possible.

Just a quick reminder, the next PTA meeting will be held on Saturday, November 13th at 11:00am. Please come join us and support our future leaders.
