If you are missing any of the following assignments you have until Monday, October 7th to turn them in. They will not be accepted after that deadline. In case you did not write down the assignments here they are:

9/9 Writing Assignment # 1 – If you were establishing a colony in a new unexplored land, where would you choose to live? What is your reason for this decision? What problems might you encounter? How would you handle them?*Minimum 3 paragraphs
9/12 Thematic Essay 

Theme: European and Native American Interaction

 

The Spanish, English, and French who settled in the Americas each had a particular approach, generally, in how they related to or treated the native people they encountered.

 

Task:

 

  • Consider the interaction between Native Americans and the English (colonists) with Native Americans.

 

  • Evaluate the lasting impact of colonization on Native American groups.

 

9/17 Writing Assignment #2 – If you were an American Colonist living in the mid-1700’s how would you react to the laws and acts placed on you by the British. Do you feel these laws/acts are fair? Explain your reasoning.*Minimum 3 paragraphs
