A Prologue for the WHSAD Tales…a Blessing

Yesterday,  I took 7 students to Saint Joseph’s College to have them observe a college literary classroom. There’s no other way to describe this experience other than calling it a blessing. And I’d like to thank personally and professionally the following students:

Shane Fearon, Ofelia Eumana, Adams Peguero, Joshua Nieves, Alexander Pollard, Samarah Grant, and Tracy Wan.

You all made me very, very proud the way that you represented yourselves, our school, me as a teacher, and your love for literature. I beamed like a child for the rest of my day, bragged about the experience to WHSAD staff members and to my personal friends.

I’d like for anyone who reads this to look for a longer post regarding the experience. I am attempting to put something much larger together that will require some input from others who participated.

And a very special shout-out to my beloved professor, guide, and friend, Dr. Susan Nakley. She later expressed to me that yesterday was a blessing for her as well and that she was incredibly impressed by our students.

Thank you all very much!
