Yo – soy (I am) Describe
Tu – eres (You are) Occupation
El/ella/ud. – es (He/she is) Characteristics
Nosotros – somos (We are) Time/day
Ellos/ellas/uds – son (They are) Relationship
When we change the verb to match the subject it’s called conjugating.
I AM, He IS, They ARE. It happens in English as well.
-Yo always goes with SOY
-Tú always goes with ERES
-Anytime you see 1 persons name or él/ella/ud use ES
-Anytime you see Nosotros/as or 1 persons name + “y yo” use SOMOS
-Anytime you see more than 1 person’s name or ellos/ellas/uds. use SON
To make a sentence negative you place a “no” in front of the verb.
Examples:
Pitbull no es guapo.
Nosotros no somos vagos.
