Today we had a guest speaker in our class.  Shoun Kennedy started his career as a paramedic professional.  He worked at a hospital in Manahattan.  One day when he arrived at work there were pad locks on the door.  The hospital closed without any notice.  Shoun explained how frightened he was with nowhere to go.  He went on to explain how scary it was to have to start all over again.

He decided to become a home repair expert.  The students asked many questions about the fear he had in changing careers.  He went on to tell them how dark the days were when folowing the closure of the hospital and how happy he is today in his current field.

On Friday, May 3, 2013 Olympia will return to do interviews with the student.  We have done interviews this term, so it will add to their experience.
