Geometry Review: Circles

Oh how they love to ask questions about circles…why? because there are so many different things they can ask.  Read carefully!

Know your vocabulary: radius, diameter, chord, tangent, secant, center angle, inscribed angle, minor arc, major arc, and semicircle.

Know how to find the measure of the angle formed by two radii, two chords, two tangents, two secants and a tangent and a secant.

Know how to find the length of a chords, tangents, secants, and arcs.

Know how to write the equation of a circle (coordinate geometry) and how to find the volume, lateral area and surface area of cylinders & cones (visual and spatial reasoning).
