Aim: What are subject pronouns and what are their function in a sentence?

 

Do Now: Ask your partner the following questions about their schedules… (or answer them for yourself)

 

1. ¿Cuál es tu primera clase?

2. ¿ Cuál es tu quinta clase?

3. ¿ Cuál es tu séptima clase?

4. ¿ Cuál es tu clase favorita?

5. ¿ Cuál es la clase más facil?

6. ¿ Cuál es la clase más dificil?

7. ¿ Cuando tienes almuerzo? ____________ periodo

SUBJECT PRONOUNS

Yo – I                                                 Nosotros – We (feminie and masculine)
Tu – You (informal)                    Nosotras – We (Just Girls)
El – He                                              Ellos – They (feminine and mascuine)
Ella – She                                         Ellas – They (Just girls)
Usted – You (formal)                  Ustedes – You all 

 

Turning the Subject into  subject pronoun

Maria es bonita. = Ella

Julio y Juan son amigos. = Ellos

Carlos y yo jugamos. = Nosotros

Sandra y Sofia hablan mucho. = Ellas

Kim, Beyonce y Rihana son famosas. = Ellas

Los muchachos son inteligente. = Ellos
