Williamsburg High School for Architecture and Design (WHSAD) advances equity through access by providing every student with rigorous academics, meaningful Career and Technical Education, and the supports needed to thrive.
Through our four-year Architectural Drafting and Design CTE program, we connect academics with architecture, design, historic preservation, and the visual arts through authentic projects, work-based learning, paid internships, industry partnerships, and college-credit opportunities.
We build on students’ identities, strengths, interests, and aspirations to foster belonging, purpose, and agency. We invest in teacher expertise through sustained professional learning, collaborative inquiry, and the analysis of student work to strengthen instruction. Together with families and community and industry partners, we prepare students to become critical thinkers, effective communicators, reflective learners, and responsible leaders ready for college, careers, and life beyond WHSAD.

Directions by Subway
- Take the L train to the Bedford or Metropolitan-Lorimer stop or Take the G Train to the Metropolitian-Lorimer stop.
- From the Metropolitan-Lorimer stop: walk towards, then under, the BQE. Cross Meeker and continue up North 6th. Take a right when you reach Roebling for the main entrance to the school.
- From the Bedford stop: Walk east on North 7th from Bedford Avenue past Driggs to Roebling. Cross the street and take a right to the school’s main entrance.
