At WHSAD, it is our goal that your child graduate with an Advanced Regent’s Diploma. In addition, it is important that your child leave our school “college ready”. This means that your child must achieve a score of 80 or higher in all required New York State Regent’s exams. During the week of April 8th, we will be mailing your child’s June exam schedule home to you. We will also be distributing these exam schedules to our students during their third period classes during the same week. Please review this schedule with your child and call your child’s guidance counselor with any questions. Please remember that no student will be permitted to graduate, as per State law, unless he/she passes all required Regent’s Exams.
In order to help your child reach their important Regent’s Exam benchmarks, please help us with insure that:
- Your child is in school every day for the remainder of the school year so that there is no missed instruction.
- Your child takes the time to study at home for all exams that he/she is scheduled for.
- Your child attends the tutoring sessions that we have scheduled for every exam.
Please see the Regents Exam tutoring schedule below. While this schedule will formally begin on 4/29, many of our teachers are already making themselves available during the times listed. Please encourage your child to attend all tutoring sessions.. Thank you.
