WHSAD at Dendur

At the A. Ottavino Corp. Centennial  celebration at the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Temple of Dendur, WHSAD’s first partner from the Historic Preservation industry was honored on its hundredth year as a leading company in an industry that has long kept New York City’s history alive. Having envisioned a school focused on the preservation of the built environment nearly twenty years ago, Ms. Kate Ottavino, a third generation Ottavino to run Ottavino Corp, introduced  her program to WHSAD in 2009. Our Historic Preservation program has been a success ever since. The letter below was written by Mayor Bloomberg and presented at this event. This letter, in addition to honoring A. Ottavino Corp for its 100 years of service to our city, highlights WHSAD’s historic preservation program and its continuing success.
