Read about WHSAD’s volunteers helping to remove graffiti around the neighborhood in The Greenpoint Gazette’s article Greenpoint Chamber Begins Spring Cleaning of Graffiti.

Led by Williamsburg High School for Architecture and Design (WHSAD) Assistant Principal Giovanni D’Amato and Dana Rachlin of the Greenpoint Youth Court (GYC), more than 40 volunteers, including members of the 94th Precinct, worked their way along Eagle Street, for several hours, cleaning vandal stricken buildings. Broadway Stages sponsored paint and other materials and Mamma Rosaria Deli donated the snacks. The Greenpoint Chamber of Commerce organized the event as part of one of its neighborhood improvement projects.
