The Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) provides New York City youth between the ages of 14 and 24 with paid summer employment for up to six weeks from July 5th through August 19th . Free SAT Prep and American History Elective
Saturday Academy, a partnership of the FAO Schwarz Education Center and the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History, for students in grades 8–12. Classes are held at the Museum of the City of New York 1220 Fifth Avenue @ 103rd Street in NYC. Saturday Academy is a free six-session program for students interested in American History and SAT preparation. There’s no homework and all course materials are provided. Summer Internship at the West Side YMCA
The YMCA recognizes many teenagers cannot secure work over the summer. The majority of employment opportunities available to teens oftentimes do very little to build their resumes or skill sets. The West Side YMCA has developed Teen Career Connection (TTC) to address this need. TCC is an eight-week comprehensive internship program, providing NYC youth an unparalleled opportunity. TTC is an eight week program, which consists of two weeks of job readiness training and six weeks of the internship.
