1. What have you learned so far in your work in the Makerspace?
Makerspace has taught me a lot, especially about how to be effective with my time. Throughout the duration of Makerspace, the facilitators have helped my team and I use our time to actually end up with a beneficial result, rather than having nothing. One of the facilitators uses miro.com, which I find is very useful for creating tasks and making sure they are completed.
2. Based on what you have done so far, what do you think is your greatest strength and why?
Based on my work so far, I think my greatest strength is organizing information, especially when creating a presentation with Google Slides. I believe this is my greatest strength because when presenting to a stakeholder, being organized and having an effective presentation will only attract the stakeholder even more.
3. What skill would you like to develop over the remainder of the program?
A skill I would like to develop over the remainder of the program is my communication, especially when presenting. Oftentimes I tend to talk too fast, or even begin to stutter. Knowing that I have an audience when presenting would help me get more comfortable when presenting. The feedback from the facilitators will also help me work on my communication skills.
4. How has it been collaborating with your peers on-line?
Collaborating with my peers on-line has definitely been different and something extremely new. It is not the same as calling someone, but thankfully my team and I have made the best out of our circumstances and have been able to work efficiently on our project.
5. How has the feedback you have received from mentors affected your thoughts about your projects?
The feedback I have received from the mentors has been extremely helpful. For example, the first time my team and I presented I remember one of the mentors saying that we should be making more out of the little information we have. So thanks to that I know there are so many things that can be done with limited information.
6. What are you looking forward to for the rest of the program?
For the rest of the program I am looking forward to seeing what my team and I end up coming up with and also looking forward to what the stakeholder might think of what we have done.
