What type of quadrilateral has two parallel sides?

 

When I asked this question at the beginning of class I got a ton of different answers. Some students said a rhombus, others said a parallelogram, and some even said a trapezoid. We have to be very descriptive when talking about geometric figures. If we add the word only so that the question reads: What type of quadrilateral has only two parallel sides? Then we only have one answer, a trapezoid.
