Aim: Should president Obama let undocumented children stay in the U.S. after crossing the border alone?

Do Now:  Read the statement and answer the questions in your notebooks

Over 60,000 unaccompanied children have entered the United States this year through the Mexican border.  Why do you think that is?  Would you risk your life and go on a journey hundreds of miles long for promise of a better life? What is the furthest you’ve ever been from home alone? Were you scared?
