I’ve decided to attend Co-Op Tech because I was interested in the Advertising and Design Program. After all, Graphic Designing is one of my career paths. So, I felt like it was an opportunity I should be taking advantage of because I was doing so well academically. At first, I thought it was a lot of work, but now that I’m progressing and learning what is to be expected in these projects, the work doesn’t take as long as before.

This is a cyborg I created on Adobe Illustrator. This was one of my first projects on this app.

I’m currently going for my certification in Adobe InDesign. By the end of the year, I should be getting certifications in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. InDesign is for making posters, postcards, flyers, any other type of advertisements. Illustrator is for drawing pictures, and Photoshop is for editing pictures. This class takes a lot of patience and creativity. All three software programs work together because you need photographs and artwork to create the things you design on Adobe InDesign.

During the beginning of the program, I used Abode InDesign to create my own business. Later in the program, I was assigned to make a pricing postcard to prompt my business.

My plans are still to go to college because I’m majoring in Architecture even though I would be getting an AutoCAD certification, which is an Architecture software to make 3D objects and blueprints. I would like to also major in Graphic Design, but these certifications are really good to have for the time being. So by the end of my senior year, I would have at least four professional certifications. Overall. I’m proud to say I was able to succeed with these accomplishments by the time I turn 18 years old.
