On Friday, February 6th, more than 20 WHSAD students were rewarded with a free field trip to see the New York Knicks versus the Brooklyn Nets at the Barclays Center. While the Brooklyn Nets enjoyed a comfortable lead during the first quarter, it turned out to be an exciting game, as the Knicks took the lead during the fourth quarter. The Nets eventually came back to beat their cross-town rival 92-88.
This special trip would not have been possible if it were not for the help of Harry Van Arsdale alumni Mia Hall. A special thanks go out to her for her efforts in making sure that our students succeed academically.
WHSAD periodically provides its students who succeed academically with incentive field trips. Past field trips include, but are not limited to, basketball games, Broadway plays, bowling, and ice skating. The next incentive trip will be on Monday, March 2nd, where WHSAD returns to the Barclays Center to see the Brooklyn Nets against the Golden State Warriors.
