Swarm of the “Locus”ts

This week we will be learning about locus (the set of all points that meets a specified condition) – not to be confused with locusts (grasshopper like insects).

Think of locus as a “bunch” of points that all do the same thing.  In Latin, the word locus means place. The plural of locus is loci.  We will sketch the points so that they are “equidistant” – at equal distances.

Extra Credit Opportunity: Create your own locus word problems and include an answer key. Due May 31st.
