Hi All, We are at the final month. In order to be certified for graduation and be awarded a diploma you must have met all NYS Graduation Requirements. Confirm w/ your teachers that you have passed all your courses including the AutoCad certification exam. Only students who have met the requirements will be allowed to participate in our graduation ceremony on June 23rd. This week : WHSAD is hosting the Senior Breakfast and Yearbook party on Wednesday June 8th. Upcoming Senior Activities
The Senior Breakfast will be Wednesday, June 8th from 9am - 10:30 am in the WHSAD Cafeteria. The Senior Prom is Thursday, June 16th at Princess Manor from 6:30pm - 10:30pm and Graduation will be on Thursday, June 23rd at City Tech starting at 2:30pm (graduates must arrive at 1:30pm). Attention Seniors. This year's senior trip will be to Nickelodeon Universe American Dream Theme Park on Friday April 29, 2022. Students will have access to one of a kind rides and attractions. Seniors -- are you interested in a career in the Unionized Building Trades? Want to be a carpenter? A plumber? An HVAC technician? If so, the Edward J. Malloy Initiative for Construction Skills may be the program for you! Applications are currently available to apply for next spring's pre-apprenticeship program. Starting in March, students will attend weekly sessions in advance of hands-on training next summer before being referred to a Union Apprentice program. 10th-12th grade students are now eligible to apply for positions with the Department of Buildings' Youth Leadership Council. WHSAD students have participated in the Council since it's creation in 2019. This is a great opportunity to learn about Sustainability in the Built Environment, Construction Safety, Energy Codes, Zoning, and more.
