How has it been adapting to high school so far? How is it different from middle school?
It has been fairly easy to adapt to high school so far. I have not found anything wrong or had problems with finding my classrooms or with my teachers. It’s very nice. It is different because here the classes are more complex, deserve more attention, and we have to study more for each class.
How do you feel about this environment? How has the experience with students and teachers been?
I feel like the environment is nice, the kids are alright, and the teachers are extremely nice and comprehensive. They are very understanding with me. The experience with kids and teachers has been a good one. I would say most of the kids are very concentrated in finishing and doing their work well. I like doing my work and concentrating in class; therefore, I hang out with kids who like to do the same.
What are some projects you’re working on right now? Any projects you have in mind for the future?
Some projects I’m working on right now is the one in AutoCAD in which I am designing a house. I hope to make it look nice so after I could have the opportunity to 3-D print it. A future project I would like to do is a very cool realistic car or a futuristic car which I would do using the Rhino application we are beginning to learn in Makerspace with Mr. Rodriguez.
What’s your goal for this year?
My goal for 9th grade would be to learn as much as I can.
Why did you choose WHSAD?
Since I want to become an architect, I want to learn the process of becoming one and also take advantage of the opportunities here at WHSAD. This way I can have the best learning in order to become a good architect.
What did you look forward to learning or being exposed to here?
Definitely get exposed to a lot more internship choices dealing with the architecture field and get a lot of work experience done because I know a lot of jobs ask for that.
