AIM: How can we add facial features securely to our clay form?
What are different methods to create facial features?
SWAT: describe sculpting process using appropriate vocabulary: additive, mass, void, subtractive, scoring.

Today we continued working on our gargoyles. During our lesson we looked at images of gargoyles and observed our facial features were developed and how they are attached and structurally supported. It is helpful to look at all views of your work to see if you developed all sides  your gargoyles. Also when looking at images of gargoyles online search for “side view gargoyle” and notice how ears horns etc. are attached. Make note of it that the lower part the part which attaches to the head is wider and becomes thinner as it develops in space.
