Thermodynamics (With a Vengeance!)

Today we tackled the basic vocabulary of thermodynamics (“thermo” to its friends).  There are two types of reactions, as far as thermo goes: endothermic and exothermic.  Endothermic reactions absorb energy from the surroundings, and exothermic reactions release energy into the surroundings.  Please look over the presentation for more information.

Aim: How do we handle energy transfers in chemical equations?
