Topic 7 (Rhombuses)

The rhombus is the final type of quadrilateral that we are going to work with.

 

A rhombus is the same thing as a parallelogram except we have to add one extra piece of information, all sides are equal.

 

So…

rhombus – a four sided figure with two sets of parallel sides and four equal sides

We found that rhombuses have a slightly more strict definition than parallelograms since they ask us to have two pairs of parallel lines in both definitions, BUT the rhombus requires that all four sides are equal also.
