gunpowder Plot
This assignment is on the Gunpowder Plot of 1605 – the plan to blow up the House of Lords and assassinate King James I. The plot was almost carried out completely, but ultimately failed. Guy Fawkes was one of the conspirators. This mask is his likeness and is often associated with many political activist groups. The night of November 5th is Guy Fawkes Night.
