As we enter the final week of the second marking period (of our second semester), our sophomores prepare to finish their last drawing of the year.

The drawings completed for this marking period include Sections of a BRICK VENEER CONSTRUCTION AND SOLID BRICK CONSTRUCTION, WALL FRAMING WITH WOOD, and CORNER POST CONSTRUCTION. The lessons belonging to these are as follows:

Aim: What are the advantages and disadvantages of a brick veneer and solid brick construction? (Students learned how materials come together to develop these types of constructions.)

Aim: What is a wall framing construction? (Through the use of Isometric drawings, students learn the basic parts of a wood wall frame.)

Aim: What is a Corner post construction and how is it constructed? (Through the use of Isometric drawings, students learn the basic parts of a wood corner post construction.)

Next up?      Garage framing model building!!!!!!
