Several of WHSAD students participated in a local Holiday Window Display Competition located on Grand Street. We created two displays. The first one is located on 608 Grand Street  and is called the NEW SNOW CITY.

New Snow City is a diorama which displays the transformation of a city in snow. Students investigated how snow could affect the design of buildings. The designs where explored in paper-cut outs and  3 d card board models. Further students used  AutoCAD to designs 3d snowflakes in the shapes of buildings which were printed with our new 3 d printers.

The second display is called Wishes, it is located at 682 Grand Street. Chinese Lanterns have been used for thousands of years to celebrate special occasions. Our lantern express life wishes. We studied Chinese traditional meanings of symbols and colors and applied them in our designs.
