Are you interested in becoming a Posse Scholar?

What is a Posse Scholar?  Posse Scholars…

… Are leaders in their high schools and communities

… Are committed to their education and demonstrate academic potential

… Are interested in teamwork and diversity

… Are positive, motivated, talented, ambitious young people.

The Posse Foundation identifies public high school students with extraordinary academic and leadership potential who may be overlooked by traditional college selection processes.  The Foundation extends to these students the opportunity to pursue personal and academic excellence by placing them in supportive, multicultural teams – Posses-of 10 students.  The Foundation’s partner universities and colleges award Posse Scholars four-year, full-tuition leadership scholarships. Posse scholars are supported from their senior year of high school through their college graduation and beyond.

What do I get as a Posse Scholar?

… You will receive a four-year, full-tuition, leadership, merit scholarship and a place in a Posse to attend one of our partner colleges or universities next fall.

What are the partner colleges or universities that I could earn a scholarship to?

… Posse New York has partnered with 13 top liberal arts colleges or universities.  New York Posse Scholars receive a scholarship to one of these partner institutions.  Students and parents should research the colleges to see if they are the right fit (major, location, extracurricular programs, etc).  click here for the full list of schools.

If you would like to be nominated, please forward your resume to Ms. Terraferma at terraferma@whsad.org by JUNE 28th
