What have been some of your most memorable moments over the last four years at WHSAD?

My most memorable moments at WHSAD have come from being part of a strong and supportive community. I have enjoyed helping both students and teachers, which made me feel like I truly belonged. I dedicated a lot of my time to after-school activities, where I was able to grow my skills and build meaningful connections. One of my proudest experiences was going from building a furniture piece during my sophomore and junior years to later using those same skills to create moving props for a school play. I also enjoyed working with Mr. Crockford, participating in partnership trips, and joining MBK, all of which helped shape my high school experience.

What are your plans for life after high school? Why do you feel this is the best option for your at this time?

After high school, I plan on going to college to continue building my skills and expanding my knowledge. I believe college will give me the opportunity to grow both academically and personally. It will also help me prepare for future career opportunities and give me access to new experiences. At this point in my life, I feel that continuing my education is the best path because it allows me to stay focused and keep improving myself. I want to take advantage of every opportunity to learn and become the best version of myself.

What are some words of advice you would give to younger students?

One piece of advice I would give to younger students is that connections are key, so take the time to build strong relationships. Get to know your teachers, classmates, and mentors because they can guide and support you. Don’t be afraid to ask for help or try new things, even if it feels uncomfortable at first. Stay consistent with your goals and always put effort into your work. Most importantly, make the most of your time because high school goes by faster than you think.

Where do you want to see yourself five, ten, and thirty years from now?

In five years, I see myself finishing college and continuing to grow as a person. In ten years, I hope to be established in my career while also working toward becoming a professional basketball player. I want to continue improving my skills and pushing myself to reach that goal. In thirty years, I see myself as a successful man who has built a strong life for himself and his family. Most importantly, I want to become the best man I can be, not just for myself, but for God as well.

Who has been one person you’d like to thank for support, encouragement, love, etc.?

One person I would like to thank is God, who has been like a father and a friend to me. He has been with me since the beginning and has guided me throughout these four memorable years. I am grateful for the strength and direction He has given me during both good and challenging times. I also thank Him for placing mentors in my life such as Codio, Crockford, Garcia, Mr./Ms. Bruno, Moos, Cornell, Amador, Grant, Hayes, Baldwin, Nuñez, and all of my teachers. They have supported me, believed in me, and never gave up on me, which has made a big impact on who I am today.
