Ladders for Leaders is a nationally recognized program that offers high school and college students the opportunity to participate in paid professional summer internships with leading corporations, non-profit organizations and government agencies in New York City. Please join us on January 28th from 5:30 - 8:30 for our Free Financial Aid (FAFSA) Preparation Workshop.  You and your child will sit with a counselor to fill out the federal aid form.  You will need to bring with you several documents including the new FSA ID.  See the attached flier for instructions on how to create the ID. Attached is the Application for the Turner YouthForce Scholarship. The New York Office of Turner Construction Company each year selects five high school seniors from New York City schools for an $8,000 college scholarship/internship program.  The recipients must major in Electrical, Civil, Mechanical Engineering, Sustainability, Construction Management or Architecture. At DonorsChoose.org, our interns do more than getting coffee and making copies. Interns are essential in helping the Donor Appreciation Team execute what we like to call our “special sauce” - handwritten student thank-you notes. Interns will work alongside our volunteers to review student thank-yous to protect student privacy, check them into our computer system, and mail the thank-yous to eager donors - all within 24 hours. Interns will also get the opportunity to work on a variety of projects with the entire Donor Appreciation Team and support both team and org-wide goals.
