WHSAD In-Person/Hybrid After-School Clubs to Launch on 10/4/21

All students are encouraged to join and learn more about the variety of projects available to them. Summer Bridge Design Camp: Trip To Putting Green Miniature Golf

On Tuesday August 3rd the WHSAD Summer Bridge program went to the Putting Green Mini Golf course as a session field trip. The overall theme of the golf course was global warming and the effects of climate change. Each golf course was based around a current issue or solution regarding global warming.  The students who attended the golfing trip wrote about their experiences at the golf course- their stories are listed below. WHSAD Students and Teachers Beautify Front of Van Arsdale Campus

When we go out we always get distracted with a beautiful view. We sometimes even stop and take a picture. However not many people notice that we fix things up in order to make our community look better. Especially if it's in front of a school building. Below are some experiences from students and interviews from the teachers who helped. I am so happy to say that I was part of fixing the garden. To be honest, when I saw the garden I thought that we would not be able to fix it that much since the bushes were overgrown and some trees were dead. We can all agree that the Coronavirus pandemic was a major stop in all our lives, but WHSAD made sure its students didn't suffer the consequences of not being in school or having a lack of access to design platforms as architecture students.
