SAT REGISTRATION DATES AND DEADLINES

  • STUDENTS APPLYING TO A 4-YEAR COLLEGE OR UNIVERSITY MUST TAKE THE SAT.

Test Fee – $52.00

Fee waivers are available to qualified students in the guidance office.  Registration and information available online at SAT.org/register. Fee waivers are not available for late registration.

 

ACT Fee waivers are available on a limited basis. Most colleges do not require for you to take the ACT’s if you have already taken the SAT’s. There are a few exceptions such CUNY’s Macaulay Honors & Sophie Davis School of Bio-Medical Studies and others. Please see guidance if you need assistance.

 

SENIOR GUIDANCE CONFERENCES

Individual appointments will be made for guidance conferences to discuss Academic Senior Contracts, transcript review and college planning.  Please make every effort to meet with your guidance counselor when you are scheduled. You are required to bring with you the completed Guidance Counselor Recommendation form and College Wish List.

CUNY applications are $65.00 (for up to 6 schools choices).  Application must be submitted ONLINE only. Please have a money order of $65 when ready when you are ready to apply.  Fee waivers will be available for only 10 students…So first come first served. Must bring proof of financial need such as Tax documents budget letter etc… Please refer to the CUNY application worksheet in your packet for step-by-step instructions.

The application fee is $50 for each school; some students may qualify for a fee waiver (free) for UP TO 4 SUNY schools. Must apply online via SUNY website (Many SUNY schools participate in commonapp.org)

SAT Collegeboard Fee waivers for College Applications

If you’ve taken the SAT’s you may qualify for additional fee waivers. (Up to 4) The list of all participating schools is listed on the website. www.collegeboard.org

 

REMINDERS:  

1-Most CUNY schools do not require recommendation letters or personal essays, except for specialized programs.

2-2-Year Schools/Community Colleges within the CUNY system do not require SAT scores.

3-You are expected to apply to college no later than November 15th 2014. December 1st is the final deadline. Those who apply after this date may be subjected to being waitlisted.
