Shannon Brown is the 9th grade student of the month for February.
Shannon was born in Brooklyn, NY, at Kings County Hospital. During her spare time, she enjoys reading, playing soccer, and playing tennis. She is also interested in modeling.
Shannon’s favorite teachers are Ms. Jufer and Mrs. Sabic. Shannon believes that both teachers are excellent because they are able to connect with the students and inspire them to do well.
Shannon was chosen by her teachers because she works hard and studies in order to achieve excellent exam scores. Her Integrated Algebra teachers, Ms. Jufer and Ms. Basilio, are particularly proud of the fact that Shannon completes all of her homework assignments with incredible detail. She is a pleasure to have in the classroom and the teachers of WHSAD are glad to have her as part of the community. Shannon also spends each Saturday taking college classes in order to improve academically.
