What have been some of your most memorable moments over the last four years at WHSAD?
Over my four years at WHSAD, I’ve had some memorable moments. One memory would be the amount of times I would troll teachers and make class fun for not just me but, those around me. Another memory would be the amount of conversations with the teachers I like and the back and forths we’ve had. One last memory that I will remember is all the football games I’ve played after school with friends and other fellow students.
What are your plans for life after high school? Why do you feel this is the best option for your at this time?
A plan that I have after high school is pursing being an accountant in business, doing stocks, running my own LLC, and being successful. I feel like this would be the best option for me. This is my plan A. This would enhance my skillsets while fulfilling my dream. Not just to be wealthy but travel around the world.
What are some words of advice you would give to younger students?
There are multiple things I could say. One things that everyone usually says is “Friend’s come and go.” Don’t expect a friendship/relationship to last your entire life. Anything could happen at any moment. Something else I would say is you can’t change the people around you, but you can change the people around you. Surround yourself with people like you, and don’t lose track of who you are trying to fit in. You don’t need to fit in. Now is the best time to experiment who you want to be and identify who you really are.
Where do you want to see yourself five, ten, and thirty years from now?
In five, ten, or so years I see myself pursing what I want to be in life, graduating from college (Baruch) and getting closer to accomplishing that. I want to own a house within the next five to fifteen years, being in a healthy relationship, being close with my family, and give back to my parents, and those who helped me on the way up. I also hope to have a stable career that not only supports me financially but fulfills me personally. Traveling and experiencing new cultures is something I want to incorporate into my life as I grow. Most importantly, I want to look back and be proud of the growth, resilience, and effort it took to get where I am.
Who has been one person you’d like to thank for support, encouragement, love, etc.?
One person I would like to thank for everything would be Mr. Bruno. He is a great man and is wise. Not only is he a good teacher, funny, etc, he is an honest person who is always real to you. He doesn’t lie to you, and he was always great with advice in terms of life and tips. Example, he gave me tips on buying a home and how it works. Mr. Bruno is a relatable man and teacher as he looks for the best in his students.
