What are your strengths and what areas of yourself would you like to improve? My strengths would be that I'm consistent regarding my work, I'm diligent, and I'm always trying to be a part as many programs in the school and outside as much as possible. Something about myself I want to improve is to be more extroverted, step out of my comfort zone and become more sociable. I definitely want to change my standing now in terms of being social before college because I feel like if you don't socialize then you won't have the experience you want in college or in life in general. What are you looking forward to in your senior year at WHSAD? I'm looking forward to advancing my academic performance and all the events at the end of the school … [Read more...]

Megan Golding, Class of 2022
What are your strengths and what areas of yourself would you like to improve? Some strengths I have are being very open and being very involved in a lot of school activities. I also think I am very good with my communication skills and also my design skills. One weakness I have is public speaking, even though I do enjoy talking, public speaking is something that always trips me up. What are you looking forward to in your senior year at WHSAD? Something I’m really looking forward to in my senior year is our senior trip and decision day. I can’t wait to see what the administration has in store for us :) What are your plans for after high school? I plan to stay in New York because my major is graphic design, a lot of big name … [Read more...]

What are your strengths and what areas of yourself would you like to improve? A strength I would consider is my reliability. If I have something to do, I’ll always get it done, and it’s rare that my work is completed late. And that would lead me to areas of improvement. There are times where I hold off some assignments and completely forget about them until I check Pupilpath. So generally, I would like to try and remember my work, and other memories that I tend to forget. What are you looking forward to in your senior year at WHSAD? I’m looking forward to spending one more year with all my peers and doing as much as I can this year. Passing my classes as well and improving myself as a person. What are your … [Read more...]
WHSAD Senior, Jason Dumont, in Co-op Tech Electrical Program
Before I even learned about Co-op Tech, I knew that I wanted to further my understanding of Electrical Engineering. I wouldn’t have gotten this far without the help of my teacher Mr. O’Brien, it’s thanks to him that I even got into the electrical field. He taught me the basics such as the different types of wires to use, the tools that were necessary for striping and or splicing wires, as well as protection measures to prevent short circuits. I owe him a debt of gratitude for teaching me these skills since they will help me pursue this career in the long run. Not only will it help me to secure a job in this field, but it will also accommodate the showing of my prowess in Electrical Engineering. During my Junior year, I heard about Co-op … [Read more...]

What are your strengths and what areas of yourself would you like to improve? I believe I am a great listener. I'm very perceptive. I'm not the most social. I can be and have improved a lot, but I have room to grow. I'm great once the ice is broken, just not the best ice breaker . What are you looking forward to in your senior year at WHSAD? I look forward to creating great memories and really grasping all I can from the world of architecture before I am sent into the world. What are your plans for after high school? I plan to go to a college that aids me in growing in a career that surrounds my interests in art and writing. What activities have you been involved in during your time at WHSAD and how have these activities … [Read more...]

What are your strengths and what areas of yourself would you like to improve? When it comes to my strengths I’m not sure what they are, especially since I feel like I can improve in everything. However, I’d say photography and math are my strong points along with art. Even though I say these are my strengths, I really need to improve more of all of them because although I believe I’m good at them I still make mistakes and get confused when doing certain things. My strengths may be things that I’m good at, but I know I can do much better and I want to improve them. What are you looking forward to in your senior year at WHSAD? I'm looking forward to being able to spend my last year here trying to learn new skills and … [Read more...]
Pedro Astudillo, Class of 2022
What are your strengths and what areas of yourself would you like to improve? I think that my strengths are my public speaking skills. I can write pretty well, but I wouldn't exactly consider that one of my strengths. I would like to improve on my reading and writing in general. I feel like I also really need to work on my attention span. I tend to get disinterested or distracted from doing things often. What are you looking forward to in your senior year at WHSAD? I think I'm looking forward to all of the things that seniors get a privilege of enjoying. Our senior hoodies, shirts, and hats, plus the yearbooks. I am really looking forward to prom! I'm so excited for it! I think that everyone is going to have an amazing time, and I … [Read more...]

How has it been adapting to high school so far? How is it different from middle school? It has been fairly easy to adapt to high school so far. I have not found anything wrong or had problems with finding my classrooms or with my teachers. It's very nice. It is different because here the classes are more complex, deserve more attention, and we have to study more for each class. How do you feel about this environment? How has the experience with students and teachers been? I feel like the environment is nice, the kids are alright, and the teachers are extremely nice and comprehensive. They are very understanding with me. The experience with kids and teachers has been a good one. I would say most of the kids are very concentrated in … [Read more...]

How has it been adapting to high-school so far? How is it different from middle school? Adapting to high-school is a challenge for me personally because I am not used to the conditions and habits of in-person school. On the bright side, I enjoy myself because I began socializing more and making new friends. high-school is definitely not what I imagined or expected. High-school is different from middle school because I was homeschooled for all of middle school and it is significantly different from in person school. Also the assignments I get overall are more complex and challenging, but I've gotten used to it so far. How do you feel about this environment? How has the experience with students and teachers been? The environment is … [Read more...]

How has it been adapting to high-school so far? How is it different from middle school? "I think I've been good so far. I've already gotten adjusted to all of the classes I have, and I’ve created some goals for me to complete this year such as, how I want to get started on working or even get some experience with the projects that we do in Makerspace. Overall, I think everything I’ve had so far has been a smooth transition." How do you feel about this environment? How has the experience with students and teachers been? "Everybody's nice, the teachers and students are nice. And, if you need to ask for help, they'll help you. I think that if you treat people nice, you get the same treatment back." What are some projects … [Read more...]
