WHSAD visits the College Fair at the Aviator Center

October 30, 2018 By Antonio Perez

On October 15th, WHSAD students were blessed with the opportunity to attend a college fair at the Aviator Center. Students had the chance not only to learn more about the colleges attending the event but also to explore interests in potential majors and minors. Representatives from all colleges at the fair were present and students were able to have one on one conversations with the people who actually work at the schools' offices of admissions. This is important because students get to make a lasting first impression on the people who may eventually be deciding whether they want to accept these students into their schools. All the students attending took advantage of this opportunity to make impressions and prepare for their futures. … [Read more...]

On October 2nd, WHSAD students had the opportunity to visit the Department of Buildings to attend a panel on zoning and building codes. While many people may not be aware of what building codes exactly are, they do affect everyone and the way they live their daily lives in some form. Building codes are a set of rules and a set structure that buildings must adhere to in order to be able to be constructed.
