Today’s Aim: How do we write algebraic expressions from word phrases?

Homework: Sheet 1 – 1 and 1 – 2, due Thursday 9/19

 

After today’s lesson, you should be able to answer these questions:

What is meant by Turn Around Words?

Give two examples of a phrases including turn around words.

Compare 2 – x and x – 2.  Give two phrases for each.  Explain the difference.

 

Reminder: There will be a baseline assessment given in class on Thursday, 9/19. 

Hint: The homework sheet will help you prepare for it!!!
