In the autobiography I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings, Maya Angelou recalls how the segregated society’s idea of “beauty” created adversity for her as a child.

Using 11×14 inch poster board, create a portrait that depicts how you see yourself, not how others see you.  Write a paragraph explaining the picture, and how these images affect you.  Use any art materials available to you, as well as magazine pictures, fabric, markers, colored pencils, computer graphics (original).  Due Wednesday.
