Aim: What procedures are at the core of scientific methodology?
Yesterday we talked about observations and inferences. We learned that all scientific experiments began with an observation. Today, we learned how observation leads to questioning, questioning leads to inferences, inferences lead to hypotheses, and a hypothesis leads to scientific experimentation. We learned how to set up a controlled experiment to test our hypothesis, and we learned the difference between an experimental and a control group.
Today’s DO NOW will be graded as a quiz!
Tomorrow we will be in the lab in room 506!
