A special “Shout Out” goes to senior class salutatorian Dangelie Rodriguez for winning the Ronald McDonald House Charities HACER Scholarship. Based on Dangelie’s outstanding academics, personal successes, and commitment to her community, she was awarded a $17,000 scholarship to use towards her college education.
Dangelie is an active member of her community, serving as a co-leader and youth mentor for the Last Harvest Christian Center. As a co-leader, Dangelie organizes community outreach programs, such as serving meals at soup kitchens and tutoring mathematics to her peers after school. She also sings at her local church choir, where she serves as a lead singer. Dangelie attributes her successes to her mother, who founded Las Mujeres Hispanas Unidas, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping young Hispanic adolescents improve academically.
On behalf of the faculty and staff members of the Williamsburg High School for Architecture and Design, we are proud of having this talented young lady as part of our student body. Dangelie–Congratulations and keep up the fantastic work!
